ChannelFM ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use ChannelFM and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect
When you install and use ChannelFM, we collect:
- Slack workspace information — workspace ID, workspace name, and the bot access token required to operate the app.
- Slack user IDs and display names — to identify who added a song to the queue. We do not collect email addresses or profile photos.
- YouTube URLs — URLs posted in the configured channel that are added to the playback queue.
- Billing information — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the ChannelFM service — sync music playback across your team.
- To enforce the free tier limit (3 users) and manage paid subscriptions via Stripe.
- To send Slack messages on behalf of the bot (queue notifications, player links).
3. Data Storage
Data is stored in a SQLite database hosted on Railway and backed up to Google Drive. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (Slack API, Stripe, Google Drive).
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as ChannelFM is installed in your workspace. You can request deletion at any time by uninstalling the app from your Slack workspace and contacting us.
